I'm Liz, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Grief Professional and owner of Whole Wellness Counseling.
I hold a BS in psychology from Southern Connecticut State University and a Graduate Degree in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University.
I have extensive training in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety disorders, along with trauma, depression, anxiety and grief and loss. I specialize in working with women who are pregnant, postpartum, and mothers of young children, although am not limited to other areas of interest within my practice as well including those struggling to move forward from the weight of their trauma; depression and anxiety symptoms, and individuals navigating the heartbreak of loss. I will gently challenge you to make lasting behavioral changes that can have a positive impact on the overall quality of your life. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together, I will meet you with compassion and grace using evidence-based techniques with a laid-back approach.
Within my practice, I utilize a mixture of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Informed therapy, Grief Therapy, Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Wellness Coaching.
Within my sessions, I utilize a holistic approach to therapy. I will take the time to get to know you and build a rapport. By using mindfulness-based techniques and exploring the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors you will gain a deeper understanding of yourself and untangle what may be holding you back. I look forward to meeting with you and working together to achieve satisfaction in whatever season of life you may be in. I cannot wait to meet you.
